Hurricane Katrina -Waveland, Louisiana

Waveland was one of the majorly hit Cities. One of our Beloved Pacific Domes clients, Jeff Taylor, donated this 60' dome to help with the disaster. It was used as a community meeting place and kitchen. A smaller 30' dome was next to it and was used for a childcare center. The dome became the heart of the community for the people of Waveland. It was filled with food and music every night, becoming the only solace for many who had lost everything they owned. The dymaxion tunnel in front of the dome is another R. Buckminster Fuller design and was donated by our sister organization World Shelter's.
